About Us ~~~
Our pastor, Monica Gould is a graduate from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. She worked in specialty nursing as an RN for 20 years prior to entering seminary.
Since 2000 Monica has served congregations in rural Virginia, Indiana, and France.
Monica began serving NMPC & FMPC September 1, 2014. Her involvement in the church is preaching and worship, youth, mission, and Christian Education. She also loves being involved in the community through volunteer work and activities.
She is married to Mike, and they have three children and eight grandchildren. They love to sail and in 2019 they completed a transatlantic crossing thanks to the encouragement and support of the congregation to take a semester sabbatical.
Currently they are enjoying sailing leisurely and racing their sailboat around the Chesapeake Bay. At Christmas you can see her in full holiday lighting at the Onancock Wharf.
