About Us ~~~
Geneviève Beauchamp received a Master of Divinity degree from University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. As a pianist, she was a finalist and winner of several competitions and performed multiple recitals over the years. In 2007, she founded a community children’s chorus, Sarasota Young Voices. The singers sang nationally and internationally throughout their years of existence. She retired from the organization in 2023, following their last tour to Scotland. As the Artistic Director of the Sarasota Choral Society, a 150-member community chorus that performs Handel’s Messiah yearly with orchestra, she recently completed 15 years of leadership.
She joined Church of the Palms (PCUSA), Sarasota, Florida, as music director in 2013, following seven years as the choir director at Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church. In 2019, She responded to God’s call to enter seminary, and she was ordained at Church of the Palms in January of 2023 as Associate Pastor of Worship and Music. She has been a volunteer chaplain with a local Sarasota hospital for several years. Ms. Beauchamp is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry degree at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, which she hopes to complete in April 2027.
Ms. Beauchamp is grateful to serve Francis Makemie and Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Churches and to learn all about the Eastern Shore with her husband William, who loves to sail small boats. Their daughters, Ariane and Daphne, are happily married. Grandson Henry made his way into the world over a year ago, and he makes his grandparents very happy.
